Deloris Frimpong Manso alias Delay, a Ghanaian entrepreneur, television and radio program presenter, returns to host the Wontumi Radio drive time show.
Afia Schwarzenegger hinted about prospective employment with Wontumi Radio on social media earlier in February 2022, while preparing for the funeral of her late father.
Afia, who seemed ecstatic at the moment, took to social media to announce the news, prompting congratulations from a number of well-wishers and friends, including members of her’mafia’ group.
“I appreciate it, Chairman Wontumi. Do you foresee it? Wontumi FM,” Afia captioned a picture of herself with Chairman Wontumi, the radio station’s owner.
Prior to this, the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman was seen visiting Afia’s house or office on multiple times, and the public was unaware of the reasons for his frequent trips.
He was observed at the late comedian’s father’s burial, when he contributed GH5,000 among other presents to her, confirming rumors of their connection.
However, nothing has been reported about Afia’s meeting with Chairman Wontumi.
A video recently leaked online in which Chairman Wontumi was seen persuading Delay, Afia Schwarzenegger’s rival, to join his business.
Wontumi was eager to provide Delay, who seemed hesitant, any amount of money in order for her to start working as soon as possible in the viral video.
“Don’t put it off till the 2nd; you can’t let the supporters down.” “Just call it anything you want,” he added.
“Chairman, but I am not ready for radio,” Delay said nervously.
“You’re ready; I’ll get anything I want; I’m Wontumi; you can’t stop me.” Chairman said, “You must work for Wontumi radio.”
Delay was hired as a drive time program presenter on Wontumi Radio a few weeks later, and many have questioned what happened to Afia Schwarzenegger’s appointment.
The comedienne, who has been keeping up with current events, has been casting shadow on social media. On May 12, 2022, she said that her tweet did not indicate that she would be joining Wontumi FM.
Meanwhile, Delay has been praised by several members of the public for her “outstanding return” as host of the “To Wo Bo Twi Me” drive time program.
Delay began her radio career in 1999 with Life FM in Nkawkaw, Eastern Region. She worked as a midmorning program presenter for Top Radio in Accra from 2005 until 2007. She worked for Oman FM from 2007 till 2016. In 2008, while working at Oman FM, Delay launched her television program, “The Delay Show,” which has remained popular to this day.
