Man cries bitterly after a lady he met online stole his rent money.

Otieno, a Kenyan guy, has expressed guilt for hooking up with a woman he met on the online dating site Tinder.

The 36-year-old guy said that they arranged to meet after speaking for six weeks with the woman known as Wambo.

After his three-year relationship ended when his fiancée left him for his bestfriend, Otieno joined Tinder in January 2022.

“In October 2021, my ex-boyfriend dumped me for my closest friend. They have a child together and are married. He responded, “It pained me, but I believe this is the best moment to go on.”

He welcomed Wambo to his home, but she left with his Ksh 70k (N250K) for rent payment and a Samsung wristwatch after eating and spending time with him.

When Wambo confronted her later about it, he threatened to report her to the police for forcing himself on her.

“She informed me she was a model and works with local firms, particularly in performing marketing,” Otieno shared his tale. Her beauty drew me in, and her slim figure drove me insane. We had a terrific time at my place one Saturday evening after I invited her.

“After she finished showering, she went into the kitchen, wrapped herself in a towel, and kissed me.” I assumed she was going to put on gorgeous lingerie and lock herself in the bedroom, so I took my time cooking breakfast.”

Otieno requested Wambo to clear the dishes while he took a shower after they finished dining, but he had no idea she had other intentions.

“I stepped out of the restroom after 20 minutes and she was nowhere to be seen,” he said. I attempted to contact her, but her phone number was disconnected. My Ksh70k that I had withdrew to pay rent and other things went gone when I examined the drawer where I used to put mother and other valuables. My Samsung Gear watch, which I had just bought, was also gone.

I rushed to the gate to inquire about Wambo’s departure, and the security man informed me that she had been picked up by a bodaboda. She blocked me everywhere, and thinking about her pains me.

I haven’t paid my rent for this month and have been dodging phone calls from my landlord. I’ll never hunt for a soulmate online again; instead, after I’ve recovered from my heartache, I’ll begin attending church, where I’m certain I’ll meet my life partner.”

Otieno stated he immediately removed the Tinder app from his phone. He also urged men not to be fooled by attractive faces since they might conceal what is underneath.
