Eligibility Criteria of the Malaysia International Scholarship 2024-25:

  • Graduates of developing and under-developed countries can apply.
  • Full-time Master’s and Ph.D. students are eligible.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time postgraduate student in a Malaysian public or private university supported under MIS.
  • Should have at least two semesters left before completing their studies.
  • Age should not be more than 40 years for Master’s applicants.
  • The age should not be more than 45 years for Ph.D. applicants.
  • Master’s applicants should possess a CGPA of 3.0 or a second-class upper honors degree.
  • Ph.D. applicants should possess a CGPA of 3.0 or excellent academic results during their master’s degree.
  • Applicants must write a research proposal with a minimum of 1000 words.

English Language Proficiency:

  • Required proficiency demonstrated by standardized tests:
    • IELTS: minimum score of 3.0 bands or higher.
    • TOEFL: minimum total score of 550 or higher.
  • Alternatively, the medium of instruction for the previously acquired degree should have been in English.
