The novel Covid-19 is actually deadly and has spread to all regions and continents of the world.
It is almost a year now Ghana recorded its first confirmed cases in March 2020.
The Ghana Health Service managed the disease to minimal, which made the government to lift some restrictions.
The cases, after Christmas have increased which is alarming and may call for lockdown or re-implementation of restrictions.
Though the President in his last nation’s address lifted the ban on schools, the increasing results of infections can lead the President to begin locking down some flash points.

The Ghana Health Service is doing well to contain the virus due to that, the Disease Control Officer for Dormaa Central Municipality, Mr. Daniel Owusu Amponsah has updated the media on the case management in the Municipallity.
According to him, new traits of the virus has been found and currently Ghana has recorded such cases.
Mr. Daniel Owusu Amponsah speaking on a local radio, Gifts 105.5 FM, said, the COVID-19 cases in the Municipality from January 2021 up to date indicates, the COVID-19 management team has taken 12 samples to Kintampo for investigation, out of that, 5 results are ready and 2 of the 5 results have tested positive to COVID-19.
He added, they did contact tracing of the 2 positive cases and had 7 people but all were negative.
Mr. Daniel Owusu again said, he has engaged stakeholders at Gonokrom, a border town to La Côte D’ivoire on the safety protocols to minimize the spread of the virus.

Though Dormaa is a high risk area, he said if care is highly taking, the infection status would decrease hugely and managed well.
In a nutshell, he advised Dormaaman to take the following note seriously to help all fight against the spread of the Covid-19 and its associate sicknesses.
– Washing hands with soap under running water
– Uses of alcohol-based hand sanitizers
– Wearing face mask continuously
– Observing social distancing
– Avoiding being in crowded places
– Staying home if one has nothing doing outside.
