International Talent Scholarships
For top talent international MBA applicants who reflect the highest standards of academic excellence.

Dean’s Excellence in Diversity Award
Up to six awards for incoming MBA applicants who are a member of an underrepresented community and equity deserving. Scholars will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment to building a culture of inclusion in their communities and excellence in academic and professional settings.

Ray Kruck & Jennifer Vancini Entrance Award in Climate Action Leadership
Two entrance awards of $10,000 each have been made available annually through a gift from Ray Kruck and Jennifer Vancini to support outstanding applicants entering the Master of Business Administration program who wish to pursue a career in sustainability and climate action related work. Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to effectively addressing the climate crisis through past work experience, responsible leadership and community involvement, and future career ambitions.

Ray Kruck (MBA 1992) and Jennifer Vancini (MBA 1993) are entrepreneurs who have stayed closely connected with UBC since their graduation, giving their time to the UBC Sauder School of Business programs like the Creative Destructive Lab – Vancouver, all while living in San Francisco. Ray is the CE0 and Founder of Tugboat Logic, and Jennifer is a General Partner at Mighty Capital.
Ray and Jennifer established this award to support future MBA students as they pursue their education and help UBC Sauder School of Business attract a diverse group of leaders, who will make a positive impact in the world. The awards are made on the recommendation of the UBC Sauder School of Business’s Admissions Committee.
Madhu Varshney MBA Entrance Scholarship
Dedicated for one international applicant who demonstrates exceptional aptitude and academic excellence, with preference to international applicants.

Hoegg Family MBA Scholarship
Generously provided by the Hoegg Family to a top female Canadian citizen or permanent resident applicant and to a top female international applicant entering the Master of Business Administration program. Award recipients will be determined based on academic merit and exceptional leadership skills.
